Les Canadiennes de Montréal announced today the return of Éric Bouchard to the team’s coaching staff, as an assistant coach.

It will be Bouchard’s second stint with the team, having previously served on the team’s staff during the 2014-15 season.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank Les Canadiennes de Montréal for giving me this terrific opportunity and believing in me. I’m thrilled to join this first-class organization for the upcoming season. It is a privilege and honour to coach professional athletes who are extremely dedicated to winning as this group is. I’m also looking forward to work with quality and experienced individuals lead by head coach Dany Brunet. I can’t wait to get started,” Bouchard said.

Bouchard brings with him nine years of experience as a coach at all levels, including at the Junior AAA level and with Hockey Quebec as part of their boys and girls development programs, and more recently at QMJHL Gatorade challenge. He also has a decade of experience as a fitness trainer and studied Kinesiology at UQAM. A former player himself, and one of Quebec’s bright young coaching talents, Eric has a strong work ethic and professionalism and deep knowledge of the game.
