Montreal, QC (Mar. 10, 2018) –– Les Canadiennes announced today that Lauriane Rougeau will re-join the lineup for this weekend, in advance of the team’s playoff push. Rougeau was listed on the club’s playoff roster submitted in February, but announced her official return to play after practicing with the club on Thursday.
“I’m excited to be back on the ice with Les Canadiennes. After a few weeks off, I was already missing hockey,” said Rougeau.
The defensive stalwart returns to the Montreal lineup after winning a silver medal with Team Canada at the Olympic Games in PyeongChang, and proving to be a key defender on the blue-line for Canada.
Rougeau will join the lineup for the team’s eighth edition of “Pink in the Rink”. Les Canadiennes de Montréal (26 GP: 20-5-1) will don their special pink jerseys to support women in their fight against breast cancer when they host the Calgary Inferno (26 GP: 17-5-1-3) today, Mar. 10, 5:30 p.m. at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard (and live streamed online at TheCWHL.com.)
