LES CANADIENNES TO FACE CALGARY INFERNO IN 2017 CLARKSON CUP FINAL REMATCH THIS WEEKEND

Montreal, QC (Jan. 4, 2018) ­– Les Canadiennes de Montréal (13 GP: 11-2-0) will be making their first trip out West this season and looking to extend their six-game win streak against the Calgary Inferno (12 GP: 10-0-2) on Saturday, Jan. 6, 6:00 p.m. (EST) and Sunday, Jan. 7, 12:30 p.m. (EST) at WinSport Arena A.

Riding a 10-game win streak, the Inferno have yet to lose a game in regulation this season. Both teams face each other for the first time since Les Canadiennes defeated the Inferno in the 2017 Clarkson Cup Final. They are locked in a tight race for first place with 22 points each, Calgary with one game in hand.

Star goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer will be facing her former team for the first time since being traded to Montreal in the offseason. Two-time gold medallist and CBC hockey analyst Cassie Campbell will take part in a ceremonial faceoff prior to puck drop on Saturday in the Inferno’s fourth annual Keep the Beat fundraiser in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
