PRESS RELEASE

For immediate release

Montreal, (November 3, 2017) – Les Canadiennes de Montréal (4GP: 4-0-0, 1st place), proud partners of the Montreal Canadiens, will host the newly-minted Kunlun Red Star (4GP: 1-3-0, 6th place) for a historic “Super Série” taking place on Nov. 11th, 1 p.m. at the Bell Centre, November 12, 1:30 p.m. at Michel Normandin arena at Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard, and on Nov. 14th, 7 p.m. at Michel Normandin arena.

The Shenzhen-based team will make its third pit stop in Canada before returning to China. The game at the Bell Centre will mark history as the first showcase of a professional Chinese hockey team in an NHL facility, and several special guests will partake in the ceremonial puck drop to celebrate the occasion.

Several members of Les Canadiennes, such as league-wide points leader and veteran defender Cathy Chartrand, forwards Ann-Sophie Bettez and Katia Clément-Heydra, will be reliving last year’s dream of playing at the Bell Centre. On December 10, 2016, Les Canadiennes de Montréal and the Calgary Inferno played a brilliant contest in front of crowd of 5,938 fans. Les Canadiennes won 1-0, defeating an Inferno team that featured 11 Canadian national team players, including Montreal’s off-season acquisition, Emerance Maschmeyer.

The “Super Série” will move to Michel Normandin arena for the next two games. On November 12, fans will be treated to an autograph session immediately after the game. The three-game series will conclude on November 14, a night that will feature a $5 special student discount on tickets along with deals on concession food.
