8th annual Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Game!
Saturday, March 10th, 2018 5:30pm
Bell Sports Complex, Brossard
Join our fight against breast cancer at the 8th annual Pink in the Rink game. In a re-match of the 2017 Clarkson Cup final, the reigning champions, Les Canadiennes de Montréal, will face-off against the Calgary Inferno in an official CWHL game.
Come celebrate the best of women’s hockey at the first Les Canadiennes home game following the Winter Olympics. Dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer the family-friendly evening will include a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind hockey items, autograph session, 50/50 draw, and other fun activities.
Despite advances in diagnosis and care, 1 in 9 women in Canada, as well as some men, will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Over the past 7 years, Les Canadiennes have donated over $80,000 to the breast cancer cause. We will donate the funds raised at the 8th annual Pink in the Rink game to the Wellness Program of the Breast Clinic at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
This Montreal clinic offers state-of-the-art care for over 20,000 women per year with nine surgeons, five radiologists, three specialized nurses and six radiology technicians – at absolutely no cost to women with breast health concerns. The Wellness Program provides psycho-oncology, exercise programs, lymphedema therapy, and educational programs to care for the “Body, Mind and Spirit” of those fighting breast cancer.
Les Canadiennes de Montréal are proud to join the courageous women, men, and healthcare providers in their fight against breast cancer. Please help us to make this year’s event our biggest success ever, and support a cause that we hold very close to our hearts!
