9th annual Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Game!
Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at 6:30pm
Join our fight against breast cancer at the 9th annual Pink in the Rink game as Les Canadiennes de Montréal face-off against the 2018 Clarkson Cup Champions, the Markham Thunder!
Celebrate the best of women’s hockey and join Les Canadiennes as we raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. This family-friendly evening will include a silent auction with one-of-a-kind hockey memorabilia, an autograph session, and other fun activities.
Despite advances in diagnosis and care, 1 in 9 women in Canada, as well as some men, will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Over the past 8 years, Les Canadiennes have donated more than $100,000 to the breast cancer cause. We will donate the funds raised at the 9th annual Pink in the Rink game to the Wellness Program of the Breast Clinic at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
This local clinic offers state-of-the-art care for over 20,000 women per year with nine surgeons, five radiologists, three specialized nurses and six radiology technicians – at absolutely no cost to women with breast health concerns. The Wellness Program provides psycho-oncology, exercise programs, lymphedema therapy, and educational programs to care for the “Body, Mind and Spirit” of those fighting breast cancer.
Les Canadiennes de Montréal are proud to join the courageous women, men, and healthcare providers in their fight against breast cancer. Please help us to make this year’s event our biggest success ever, and support a cause that we hold very close to our hearts!
